How do you check that cleaners are wearing the required uniform across all our locations?

Slate uniform proof connects a consented cleaner photo to due dates, review outcomes, deferrals, and configurable no-shirt assistance.
How do you check that cleaners are wearing the required uniform across all our locations?
Slate uses a configured uniform-proof check: the cleaner submits a consented photo, and authorized operations staff review the resulting evidence and status. The workflow exposes due dates, submission timing, review outcomes, and attention states rather than asking a supervisor to remember whether a uniform was seen at one location.
Give the cleaner a clear evidence request
At /uniform-proof, the cleaner can see whether a proof is due and the current status. When evidence is needed, the cleaner can take a camera photo or choose an image, provide the required consent, and submit it. The upload is staged before final submission so a retry does not have to start from an assumed browser state. If the device is offline, the app can queue the evidence for a later retry rather than presenting the cleaner with a false “approved” result.
Slate records submission time and retains the visit context when the check was presented at an eligible visit. That creates provenance for the operational record without allowing the client app to rewrite the visit association as arbitrary submission metadata.
Use due dates and honest exception states
The status response includes whether the check is due or overdue, its due time, and—when configured—the deferral window, deferrals used, remaining allowance, and next eligible time. A cleaner may be able to defer a check only when account policy permits it. If the allowance is exhausted or historical deferral data is unknown, the system directs the cleaner toward submitting evidence or requesting shirt assistance instead of silently extending the deadline.
The workflow also handles a practical uniform problem: the cleaner can report no shirt and start the configured order path. The app can collect a shirt size and complete shipping address when those profile fields are missing, then show order progress or an attention state. An order-in-progress or awaiting-confirmation state is not the same thing as approved uniform evidence.
Let authorized reviewers work a queue
The operations review queue at /uniform-compliance/checks can filter current checks by status, source, due or created date, staff member, and attention conditions such as overdue, deferral exhaustion, or an active escalation. It can show the latest submitted evidence, review time, and review outcome. Review access is role-restricted; a general staff account should not be assumed to have access to uniform photos or compliance records.
This lets a regional team separate “not yet submitted,” “submitted for review,” “needs correction,” “non-compliant,” “unusable,” “no shirt,” and resolved states according to the account’s configured vocabulary. The queue is a review and follow-up tool, not a claim that one photo proves uniform compliance at every future visit.

What this means for a multi-location client
You receive a repeatable evidence trail across locations: request, due date, submission, review, and exception handling. Operations can focus on overdue or escalated people and ask for correction where needed, while a cleaner can see what action is available instead of guessing whether a photo was received.
Uniform cadence, grace period, retention period, deferral limits, check-in prompts, delivery reprompts, and automatic-order behavior are account settings. Exact status availability and the enabled review or ordering path therefore vary by configuration. A submitted photo is not an automatic approval, and the workflow does not promise that a cleaner is wearing the uniform at every moment of service.
